Often times there are reminders of the struggles that do still exist. Hurricane Katrina was a real eye opener for a lot of Blacks in America. No action was taken before, little action was taken after, and questionable action is being taken now (years later).

When the levies broke, it hit real hard. The government didnt let people know the levies had broken until a little too late and had not fully prepared the citizens for the tragic event. For those who could afford to evacuate, did so. Those who couldnt were left to fight through the storm.
However even AFTER the catastrophe had occurred Bush still had a slow response, people were in the domes for days with little food and many sickness's running around.
